Recently, for the second year in a row, the New York State Senate passed the NY Home Energy Affordable Transition Act (NY HEAT Act). The BDC and other organizations in New York are looking to the Senate, the Governor, and the New York State Assembly to include NY HEAT in this year’s final state budget.
As the below infographic explains, if implemented NY HEAT would enable New York to carefully transition away from gas to affordable zero-emissions heat, helping prevent billions from being wasted on the state’s outdated gas distribution system.
