Creating a common vision of building decarbonization in New Jersey
Policy Support:
- Supporting legislation that would require utilities in New Jersey to prepare and implement beneficial building electrification and decarbonization programs.
- Promoting the use of NJ Green Bank funds to help accelerate building decarbonization projects in the state.
- Providing research and regulatory support for a potential Future of Gas process in the state.
BDC Presents: The Future of Gas
Partnerships and Coalition Building:
- Collaborating with organizations and coalitions representing labor, environmental groups, environmental justice groups, supply chain actors, and others to work toward equitable decarbonization in the state.
- Providing media training and other educational opportunities, including consumer education around the benefits of electrification and opportunities arising from the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act.

- Supporting funding and financing programs for community-driven neighborhood scale and thermal energy network pilot projects.
