Creating a common vision of building decarbonization in Illinois
Led by Yami Newell, BDC’s State Mobilization team is driving efforts to achieve clean energy equity in Illinois. With a statewide mandate to reach 100% clean energy by 2050, our mission is to ensure that the clean energy transition prioritizes the voices and needs of frontline communities, particularly those most impacted by environmental and social injustices. As members of the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition (ICJC), we collaborate with statewide and regional coalitions, stakeholders, and advocates to push forward this mission.
