Engagement with contractors is critical for the success of building electrification efforts, as many residential customers rely on contractors to recommend and install the appropriate equipment for their building. EMI Consulting will present results of recently completed in-depth interviews with 39 contractors involved in the installation of heat pump space-heating and heat pump water-heating technologies. Interviewees included HVAC contractors, plumbers, electricians, and general contractors that work in the residential renovation market in California.
